This is a major upgrade from previous releases, and fixes some serious issues. A full report of the fixes can be obtained in the CHANGELOG.

HOW TO INSTALL

applicable for verison 0.3 and over Once you have downloaded pppd-2.4.1 and the patch for it, untar the pppd source file, and enter the pppd directory. Apply the patch with:

patch -Np1 -i ../ppp-2.4.1-pppoe-5.patch

Then build pppd and install it with:

./configure && make && make install

TO INSTALL KDSL

./configure && make && make install (as root)

It is necessary to set up the accounts as root. Once the accounts have been setup, they will automatically be available for all users. No user other than the root user can setup or modify accounts.

Full Documentation for kdsl is available as part of the package. The Documentation is in the form of a docbook used by KDE's Help Center, and also as HTML used with the inline browser in Kdsl.
